If Olympic medals are awarded in swimming for freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breast stroke; then why not also award medals in running for sprinting, back-pedaling, side shuffling and hopping?
But really with those you aren't trying to cover a given distance in the fastest amount of time. That's more of an argument for eliminating those land events w(why are land activities the basis for comparison - its kind of like "the doctor is woman" thing)or an argument for a swimming obstacle course.

For every land jumping event there's a different diving event. And for every running distance there's a corresponding swimming distance. But for some reason they award medals for various swimming strokes

No where does he say anything that I read as HATING sports. That is absurd, and overly general.
